What’s Next?

Luke 11:24-26

24 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ 25 When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order. 26 Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.” Continue reading “What’s Next?”

Be True to Who You Are.

Just last night I witnessed an action from a someone I know very well that made me stop and say to myself “Why did they say that? That’s not them at all. That’s not the person I know.” And that’s when my mind got racing. That’s when I decided that a blog post was in order. That’s when I started to think about the fact that there are so many of us out there who struggle with staying true to themselves. Staying true to who they really are. Staying true to who GOD created them to be. It’s an insecurity thing. It’s a growth thing. It’s a self acceptance thing. It’s an “I’m afraid my friends or others will judge me, or make fun of me” thing. There are A LOT of things that go into why a person struggles with being themselves…with being who they REALLY are. Free Yourself…Forgive.

Forgiveness. Now THAT’S a heavy subject. When someone does something to upset you, you FORGIVE them and move on. They say “I’m sorry” and you say “I accept your apology,” and that’s that. Easy enough, right? HAH! Easy enough…if you’re Jesus Christ. Jesus forgave even the most sinful sinners. Jesus sat at a table with tax collectors. Jesus welcomed prostitutes with open, loving arms. Jesus FORGAVE everyone and anyone. No matter how much they may have insulted Him and or His Father up in heaven. No matter how much they turned their backs on Him. No matter how much they rebelled in their actions and words. Jesus STILL forgave them, and offered them the chance to be saved and to feel the unconditional love of God. Forgiveness…Jesus lived it out EVERY SINGLE day of His life. Continue reading “Free Yourself…Forgive.”

GO CRAZY!

Luke 8:27-32 27 When Jesus stepped ashore, he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs. 28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torture me!” 29 For Jesus had commanded the impure spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was chained hand and foot and kept under guard, he had broken his chains and had been driven by the demon into solitary places. 30 Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” “Legion,” he replied, because many demons had gone into him. 31 And they begged Jesus repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss. 32 A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside. The demons begged Jesus to let them go into the pigs, and he gave them permission. Continue reading “GO CRAZY!”

Tell Me What You Want, What You Really Really Want.

We all want something. We all desire something. We all KNOW deep down that we want something. Whatever that “something” is for you…I’m sure it’s something that brings you joy and happiness! But often times, we face the problem of wanting something that we can’t have. Or rather, I should say that we often times face the dilemma of wanting something that we’re not ready for. A Gift of a Season from God and One BIG Revelation.

I am currently finding myself in a season…a season of singleness, growth and reflection. A season that requires me to discover myself and my relationship with God all on my own…with NOBODY else involved. I’m not going to lie, it’s been difficult…and not because I feel like I HAVE to be in a relationship with someone, but because I WANT to be in a relationship with one particular person. But I’ve come to realize that although I want that relationship with that one person, and although God may have every intention of making that relationship happen, there are still some things that need to happen first.
